Frequently Asked Questions

a

What do you do?

We are a team of economists and numismatics experts specialized in one field – Islamic banknotes. Basically, we are responsible for anything that involves Islamic banknotes. We research old and new banknotes, but we also try to understand them – their role, their reasons and so on. If anything involves Islamic banknotes, we are there.

How did you start?

We started researching Islamic banknotes out of passion. Exactly. This was nothing but a hobby. With time, we gathered more and more experts around us. These days, it is more than just a hobby. It is an actual lifestyle and we do everything we can do push it even further. Sure, our passion is still there, but we have the training too.

Why Islamic banknotes?

When you are interested in numismatics, it can be anything. We, however, chose Islamic banknotes. It is easy to tell why. The Islamic world is quite diversified, so there are plenty of countries out there. Each of them has a series of banknotes and an extremely rich history. Therefore, this passion will never end for us.

What do you get out of it?

This question is a bit tricky because there are more things that we get out of our venture, even if they do not necessarily make sense for everyone. For example, we have the passion. We would not be here otherwise. With passion, you feel rewarded whenever you discover something new. Of course, we all work independently as well.

Do you provide any services?

We provide multiple services. We do not ask for money to conduct research and discover things, but then, we do get donations from both official governments and businesses. We provide free information – any research study we conduct comes out for free. However, if you need professional help, it comes as a service.

Do you work individually too?

We study and research Islamic banknotes as a team of professionals. We are driven by our passion. But at the same time, this is not a job. We are all experts in numismatics and economists, which means we also work independently or within various companies for a living. Researching Islamic banknotes is more of a hobby.

What kind of information do you provide?

When we analyze a particular banknote, we try to find out everything about it. This means we go in a few different directions. Why did it come out? Did it solve a problem? Was it really needed? Who or what was pictured on it? Why? How long was it out for? Why was it withdrawn? We try to find answers to all these questions.

What do you gain out of it?

Most people expect us to research Islamic banknotes as a lifestyle, but we do not. If we did, we would not stress ourselves working individually or for other companies too. We do not really make a profit, but we get donations to continue out work. So, what do we gain out of it? We gain passion and a rewarding feeling when we discover something new.

Can I join you?

We have offices all over the world – even in a few predominantly Christian countries. Everyone is free to join with information or as a volunteer. Tasks are quite limited though. For maximum exposure, we try to deal with trained experts only, such as professionals in numismatics or economists. But if you have what we need, get in touch with us.
