Watermark — King Abdul Aziz ibn Sa’ud.
Security threads — A solid security thread to the left and a Starwide ® Cleartext windowed thread to the right. The Cleartext thread has ‘Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency’ written in Arabic.

Text — The title of the ‘Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority’ is at the top right. An ornate block of script below states that the note is issued during the reign of King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz under Royal Decree No.6 of 1/7/1379.

Illustration — The centenary logo and Jabal Al-Nour (Mountain of Light) in which is the grotto of Hira, chosen by Mohammed (peace be upon him) as a place of seclusion in which he meditated. It was in this grotto that he received the Revelation for the first time.
