Size — 163 mm x 73 mm.
Signatures — (8) Hamad Saud al-Sayyari (Governor of SAMA) and Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Assaf (Minister of Finance).
Watermark — King Abdul Aziz ibn Sa’ud.
Security threads — A solid security thread to the left and a Starwide ® Cleartext windowed thread to the right. The Cleartext thread has ‘Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency’ written in Arabic.

Note — This banknote was issued as part of the centenary celebrations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Illustration — The gate in the western wall of al-Masmak Palace. Made of date palm and tamarisk wood, this gate is famous as the first place of battle that saw Abdul Aziz ibn Sa’ud commence his struggle to regain control of the Nejd for the House of Sa’ud.
Text — The title of the ‘Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority’ is at the top right. An ornate block of script below, and further to the right, states that the note is issued during the reign of King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz under Royal Decree No.6 of 1/7/1379.

Illustration — The centenary logo and the al-Masmak Palace in Riyadh. It was on 5 Shawwal 1319H that King Abdul Aziz commenced the Unification of Saudi Arabia by the capture of the Palace.
