Size — 166 mm x 74 mm.
Signatures — (7) Hamad Saud al-Sayyari (Governor of SAMA) and Muhammad Ali Aba Al-Khail (Minister of Finance).
Watermark — King Abdul Aziz ibn Sa’ud.
Security thread — Solid, with ‘SAMA’ micro printed on the thread.

Notes — ‘Five Hundred Riyals’ below the picture of King Abdul Aziz is spelt incorrectly. ‘Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency’ is spelt incorrectly. Hamad Saud al-Sayyari signs as ‘Acting Governor’.

Text — The title of the ‘Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority’ is at the top left. An ornate block of script at the right states the note is issued during the reign of King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz under Royal Decree No.6 of 1/7/1379. (Missing from this issue is the inscription promising to pay the bearer.)
