First issued — 1 Moharram 1381 (15 June 1961).
Size — 137 mm x 63 mm.
Signatures — (3) Anwar Ali (Governor of SAMA) and Tallal bin Abdul Aziz (Minister of Finance).
Watermark — The Saudi arms (a palm tree above two crossed swords).
Security thread — Solid.

Illustration — Jabal Al-Nour (Mountain of Light) in which is the grotto of Hira, chosen by Mohammed (peace be upon him) as a place of seclusion in which he meditated. It was in this grotto that he received the Revelation for the first time.
Text — To the left is an attestation of the value of the banknote. In the top centre it is stated that the note is issued under Royal Decree No.6 of 1/7/1379.
